Why this initiative matters
Care becomes meaningful when everyone can participate

The initiative supported participation, dignity, inclusion and equal access to health information.

First aid education made accessible

The program gave students essential knowledge about common emergencies and basic first aid. Practical demonstrations helped participants understand how to respond with greater awareness and confidence.

Sign-language interpretation was included throughout the session so students could follow each demonstration, ask questions and take part meaningfully. The training was adapted to the students’ communication needs instead of expecting them to adapt to a standard session.

Free screening and preventive care

Alongside first aid education, Yardimeli Specialist Hospital provided free ear examinations and hearing health screening for the participating students.

Bringing education and screening together connected health knowledge with practical access to care. It also encouraged awareness of ear and hearing health and the value of preventive healthcare.
